The new iPad has as much as 70% more capacity with a 11,666 mAh battery pack, which not only helps mitigate the increased LED power consumption but also help maintain 9 hours of charge when used on a 4G LTE network.
If Apple begins incorporating this type of battery density in its laptops, we're in for a pleasant surprise when the next generation of MacBook's are released. And since Apple tends to lead the way in these regards, we may see some PC makers benefiting from this bump by years end.
Since I have to use a Lenovo for most of my day while in the office, seeing it show up on the other end of the computer spectrum will be great.
